Ralph Nader is Wrong

my opinion is Ralph Nader is wrong he want's obama to act a certain way. They try to tear us apart in whatever we try to do, Ralph Nader does not run a damn thing but his mouth. Obama should keep doing what he is doing it has worked so far, all these people that want a big part of Obama's focus to be on helping or catering to black people, may i suggest that can't nobody help you until you help your self. Until we get it together in our own communities, Obama can't help black people. I tell you what if each one, reach one, teach one, we could do better. Half of us have family, that are not immediate, that could use our encouragement, time, and money. One thing other races do right is they stick together financial by all means, right or wrong, like or dislike. Help your family, at least the ones who are trying to help themselves and stop looking down at your friends and family who don't fit your criteria for what it means to be successful.

Women, can we be friends

i think this is so nice very poignant and true how many times do we not recognize the need for the relationships we have with are sister friends in this world, there are some things that i would not have made it thru with out my girls. I really have a heart for changing the way we as women interact with each other its ok to smile at another sister, or give her a compliment, or want the best for another women or be happy for each. especially us black women, the rest of the world will try and treat us like were everything but a lady ,we should not be doing this to each other some of us have made bad, terrible decisions because of bad terrible lives.Take some time and remember that it could have been you and uplift another sister when you get the chance adriannehuff

Soulja Boy (Not For Children)

There is this song going around by some young boy called Soulja Boy called Crank Dat, which by close speculation is about this little boy telling the world about masturbating on his girl and basically that it is cool to do it. He even made a dance out of it.Here is an E-mail that I had received today explaining a little more about itThanks to Tom Joyner’s show this morning with Kirk Franklin I was enlightened.

Kirk Franklin said he did not let his children listen to the song Souljah boy because of the words and the meaning of Superman. With that information I needed to find out exactly what superman meant other then the super hero.I Google searched Urban dictionary and put the word in and this is what Idiscovered:Superman is when a guy ejaculates on a girl’s back and puts a sheet on her back. When she wakes in the morning and stands up, the sheet is stuck to her back (like a cape), you have officially supermanned that hoe.

Watch Me crank dat Souljah boy now superman dat hoe... When my friend told me about it on the phone I laughed for about 10 minutes but then I cried because I realized as an adult it’s a joke, but if I was a parent and my child came home singing this I would be scared….Souljah boy just dropped his balls the other day and already he is talking about coming on a girls back and is making a number 1 record about it.

Man his parents must me proud.I am sooooo upset by this as the public seems to love this shit.WAKE UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPCAN’T U SEE WHAT YOUR DOING!!!!!!!!What makes me laugh is Black people have been complaining about civil rights for a long time. Black people have been complaining about not being heard and not getting the right opportunites in life. Now it’s the year 2008, not only is black music the most popular thing on the market now, but the style and culture is being adopted everywhere. American is coming close to getting its first black president. And what do black people do to celebrate our slow riseWe Superman that hoe…….As far as I am concerned if you have the privilege as a black person to be heard in this society to a big audience.. If you have power in your message then spread it to better the race not just you financially.

Cause you will be the richest black person on a block with every other colour but your own.Black people in general are not seen with a good light and to abuse that power you have to be talking filth to a wide audience as well as kids then you don’t deserve a record deal. ItÅ¡ bad enough rappers talking rubbish in the first place, but vulgarity and disrespect is mental abuse.Don’t you know your words and your attitudes influence everyone….. Don’t you know that by just one man calling another man a nigger that, that changed history.

Don’t you know the power of words is what is used in advertising to stimulate you to act, just like in music, don’t you know that there will be women out there mentally and sexually abused by your words, Don’t you know how naive the world is at times….

.Im not saying that this song should get banned.. Im saying this song is for an adult market a specialized market and should be treated that way. Not played on day time tv or played on prime time radio without no censorship….. are u radio stations actually listening to this ………..Im signing off… feel free to leave comments

African American Community

so i have been really studying politics and how the economy is affected by politics. I have to say that it seems that a big part of the black communities economic downfall is somewhat due to the fact that we don't own anything in our own communities. The asians run soul food joints, the Arabs run liquor and gas stores. I am an entreprenuer myself and i have been saddened by the amount of money african americans spend on businesses and people who could care less about our people and communities.

I'm from Youngstown, Ohio (very proud of that fact i might add) and for example and if your black, your hard pressed to find a job in boardman, ohio ( a neighboring town where people shop and work) or anywhere else for that matter. But we still spend our money in the city this is ridiculous. WAKE UP PEOPLE The power is in your money. I'v had friends followed around in the stores and talked down to, and then still buy something.

Do you think we as african american people we could go with out a outfit or a pair of jordans for a little while so we can demand some respect thru are economic power. Some of these companies make 90% of their money off the black community The JORDAN BRAND for instance i don' see any little white kids wearing them. We should be insisting that a part of the executive staff is african american or quite simply we won't buy the crap anymore.

(Nothing wrong with liking certain things every culture has its own thing hey you like tennis shoes then own the damn company or at least support the black owned companies that sell them) You can hardly find the good jobs most of the white folks get them, they shut out most african americans while hiring one or two for quota sake and so they won't get sued. Then they make it like hell to just show up and do a good job and be a decent person, here they come with the racism and they don't let up until you quit and believe me when i say they stick together.

Then they call us lazy, if they experienced what we experience from them at work they wouldn't want to show up either. (Now black people this is no excuse not to work but this is a reason to support black owned business and to create your own business NOW!!!) And this is in no way me being mad at white folks, hell if you own everything you can do what u want with it. I just want african americans to wake up.

In these dire economic times spend your money in your own communities spend it with your black owned business if you can. Jewish folks went thru some of the same horrors as blacks in their past history, but they decided to band together so what happened to them would never happen again. They do business with each other, just like african americans should be doing. They keep their money in their communities.Until we get to the place where we can make some real change you might have to go with out somethings for awhile you might have to stay away from the malls for awhile. But i promise you if you hit big businesses in their pockets they will come a running to you with all your list of demand met.
